In session three of the Wild[flower] devotional Bailey talks about noticing good things, even in the midst of the hard things. She says, “naming one, three or ten of the little gifts and rays of sunshine from the Lord can slowly flood those gray spaces with His light and truth.”
How true that is! A quick pause to notice His good gifts to us and soon we can be found worshipping when just a moment before we were a ball of nerves/sobbing/grumbling.
For this prompt I wanted to use the large black and white digital florals along with the circle stamp from the Wild[flower] stamp set. Since these elements are large, I decided to create this spread in my traveler’s notebook insert.
I printed the digital florals on clear sticker paper, cut them out and placed them in three corners of the insert. They are so customizable and pack such a beautiful, visual punch! I stamped the circle on to white card stock three times and cut them out as places to hold a mini-title and some journaling.
In session three of the devotional, Bailey asks where do you want to notice more of Him in your life and season? And, as a mom of an infant and pre-schooler, I want to notice more of Him in the every day tough stuff. On days when the kiddos are…let’s say “challenging”, what if I treated those moments as opportunities instead of obstacles to a completed to-do list or a great day? What if they are opportunities the Father allows to help me grow in patience, grace and love?
I jot down James 1:2-4 as a reminder to “count it all joy” when those days happen. No matter your season, we all have those hard, dark days.
I love the sticker included with this kit and added it as a final reminder in my spread.
But without the rain, the harvest would not come. The rivers wouldn’t remain filled. The wildflowers wouldn’t bloom.
