Hello Illustrated Faith friends! I am so very excited to share some thoughts I have regarding the latest Illustrated Faith devotional and stamp set kit. Since Shanna invited me to create the devotional and stamps for this month, I have been praying for it’s readers. It is my deepest desire that you feel loved, blessed, challenged and encouraged by the words and stamps. I hope that you are able to truly worship the Living God! Today I am working on day 6 in the devotional and wanted to share some further thoughts I had when writing on this passage. I mean… I can’t fit all the words I have into 20 pages so I thought I would expand a bit on today’s passage. :)
2 Kings 6:1-7
The Axe Head Recovered
Now the sons of the prophets said to Elisha, “See, the place where we dwell under your charge is too small for us. Let us go to the Jordan and each of us get there a log, and let us make a place for us to dwell there.” And he answered, “Go.” Then one of them said, “Be pleased to go with your servants.” And he answered, “I will go.” So he went with them. And when they came to the Jordan, they cut down trees. But as one was felling a log, his axe head fell into the water, and he cried out, “Alas, my master! It was borrowed.” Then the man of God said, “Where did it fall?” When he showed him the place, he cut off a stick and threw it in there and made the iron float. And he said, “Take it up.” So he reached out his hand and took it.
This has been one of my most favorite Bible stories since I was a little girl. Friends! THIS IS OUR GOD!!! This is why we worship! There are plenty of amazing examples of the greatness of our God in the Bible, miracles beyond our comprehension!

Amazing, Awesome and Immeasurable is the Power of God!! Nothing is impossible for HIM! But today I want you to know that God loves you and cares for your every little need. Worship God in the small stuff. Come to Him in prayer for all of your needs. God cares for YOU! You can send him your smallest needs in prayer. He is waiting to give you relief!!
