Hi Illustrated Faith Friends!
Today I’m sharing a Bible page I journaled using stickers from Bella Blvd and The Genesis Kit. I am just loving using The Genesis Kit in my Bible! The colors are all amazing. Lately I have been really wanting to RAINBOWALLTHETHINGS and these stickers are perfect!
A few weeks ago when the IF Creative Team was officially announced here on the Illustrated Faith blog you may have noticed that my picture included a microphone and that all of my favorite journaling verses listed were Psalms. Guys, I am a music lover and Christian Worship Music is a huge passion of mine. There are many song lyrics illustrated in my Bible! This week, the song “I Need You” by Matt Maher is playing on repeat in my heart. In the bridge are these beautiful lyrics “Teach my song to rise to you”. Oh, friends, is this ever my fervent prayer! Yes, I am a music lover and a vocalist but these words mean so very much more!
In Psalm 33:1-3 the Psalmist declares:
Shout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous! Praise befits the upright.
Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings!
Sing to him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.
Have you considered your song? Colossians 3:23 says:
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men
Today you can sing to him a new song! One that rises up to His waiting ear! What do these lyrics say to you? Perhaps they say “Teach my words to rise to you”, Teach my works to rise to you”, “Teach my dreams to rise to you”, “Teach my home to rise to you”. We can praise the Living God with our new song, whatever it may be, everyday! I hope you are inspired to sing a new song today!
