I’m always looking for new and fun ways to play around in my Journaling Bible. Lately, since I have a newborn in the house limiting my time, I’m looking for fun, quick, and easy ways to make a big impact in my Bible. I don’t always have time to wait for paint to dry for a background! I’ve also noticed in the Facebook group that many people are claiming that they have no “artistic talent,” so they don’t think they can paint or doodle easily– this concept requires no artistic talent except for the ability to hit “print” and to cut paper.
I love printable sticker paper– I love that it eliminates the need for glue and who doesn’t like stickers? And the best part about digital elements and sticker paper is an unlimited supply of your favorite stickers! (Illustrated Faith has some great videos and examples using Print and Pray elements and sticker paper!) But I decided to branch out of my normal white background sticker paper and try my hand with clear sticker paper, and to use it as a background!
My favorite clear sticker paper is the Avery Clear Full-Sheet Labels (#18665). For these particular background pages, I used the 6×8 sheet that comes in the Mosaic kit from the Print and Pray shop, as well as pattern backgrounds that coordinate with the October kits (You can find those on my blog as a free download!) I printed the backgrounds on the sticker paper and then trimmed to fit the entirety of my page in my journaling Bible. From there, I (slowly, to avoid wrinkles!) placed it down. I love that because the sticker paper is clear, you can see some of the words through the print.
From there, I just added elements (printed on cardstock) from the Mosaic kit and the Seek Your Timing kit, as well as some washi tape and alpha letters to finish off the page– no paint or mess needed!

Oh my goodness! I didn’t know that Avery made full sheets of clear sticker paper!!! What a game changer. Thanks for sharing this new tool and His word!
What printer is the best for this? I’ve been having a hard time with the color coming out to be the same as what I see on the computer—thx
