It is important to remember that whether you have run out of room on your margins or you are not ready to create within the 2” margin in your bible, there are alternatives. Today I am using a blank lined page from a Moleskine Journal that I trimmed to fit into my bible. You can use any type of paper but I have found that the Moleskine is not only very similar in weight to the Bible page but also very close in color.

I am using water brushes & a paper towel to blot, a simple set of watercolors, Neo Colors, a pencil with an eraser, 2 Black Pens: Uniball Signo 207 Ultra Micro and Micro, My Journaling Bible, Notes from Church and my trimmed Moleskine Paper
Pencil in what you want to journal – Note: Because I am going to Washi Tape this page into the bible, I am leaving some space on the left side of my page for the tape:
Using the Uniball Signo Ultra Micro Black pen, go over your pencil lines. Note: The Ultra Micro Pen in a very fine tip.
Erase your lines gently and using the same pen, double up (go over some of the lines on the letters)
Using the Uniball Signo Micro Pen, Add some details (arrows & boxes) and color in some of the doubled lines that are on your letters.
Add additional details with pen or with stamps to fill up some of the space on your page. I added a few flowers and then a border around the entire page.
Using watercolors, add color to your page. Make sure to have a paper towel handy to blot. Note: because you are creating on a separate page out of your bible, the possibility of it bleeding is not in the equation and that allows a lot of creative confidence, yay!
Once your page is completely dry, you will notice that the black lines may be a little chalky from the watercolors. Using either one of the pens to darken the lines.
Place ½ the width of Washi Tape down the left side of your page and trim to edges
Gently & slowly add the page into your Bible with the Washi Tape
Close Bible to secure tape into place, open up, look at it and smile.

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing the steps you used to create this!!
Blessings,
I love this idea of adding the paper into my Bible. I have plenty of Washi tape so this idea is perfect for me. I love the step by step instructions. You really made that paper come alive with a few pens and paint. It’s beautiful!
This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
I LOVE your work and your wisdom!! Thank You!
I love this so much. Good ideas on using the pencil first, and just taking one step at a time. Thanks for sharing!
My bible is a study tool and I mark it up mercilessly, but now I can mark it up and make it look pretty! I love the idea of journalling, and although I don’t have a journalling bible at this point, I would certainly love to do this on canvas in the meantime. I love the other post on here about worry, by Tiffany Zajas. Scripture inspires me and brings balance to my life and encouraging Scriptures bring strength and comfort to me. Thanks so much for starting this site. I look forward to the newsletters!
