The Lord Is Freedom Devotional

“In college, I met & fell head-over-heels in love with Jesus. The fast & hard kind of love that changed everything. And with all that change, came some push-back from those in my life, & some inevitably hard times right away.

As the world told me I was some kind of crazy for following Jesus, I chose to dig my nose in God’s Word & really figure out who He is & what His character says about Him. Over the last ten years of walking with my Savior, I’ve found that knowing the truth about God & being able to recount & remember His character in times of pain & hardship to be the best weapon I can carry with me out in the world.

In my new devotional, each month we’ll unearth a character trait of the Lord that we know is true & can depend on. Each title will read, “The Lord is ____, so I _____.” My prayer is for these truths to be the armor of our minds as we go out to tell the world of our good, good Father!”  –Emily Karwoski
