This collection was designed holding the darkness of December beside the light of Advent, a space that makes room for the ache of our hearts, our losses and mourning, and also the hope of what’s to come. With the spirit of one of my favorite church services in mind, I created the “Longest Night” set as a way to capture what these processes of holding both the light and dark of the season close to us, and trusting we will be carried through what simultaneously tangles and tethers our hearts.
