His name is “El Roi” – the God who sees me. Lately, I’ve been leaning into this truth. With a busy season of mothering and working, there hasn’t been enough time for me to feel like I matter more than carpool and sports and homework and the emotional load of a family. Because I need time and quiet to process life, and time to reflect, I often fall for the lie that I am unseen, that I do not matter much. In these low moments, I am trying to look for El Roi and the evidence that He sees me. A simple glance into the night sky on a clear night lately has brought comfort, knowing that if He calls the stars by name, He surely sees me.
