The way of Jesus is peace: restored shalom with God the Father, and a practiced peace here on earth. We are all invited daily into this inner circle of rest. Peace. What does it really mean to be at peace? Is it even obtainable in this modern world? The word peace means “freedom from disturbance” and”tranquility.” What if my mind, heart, and soul felt tranquility more than anxiety? What if the storms of this life could blow through, but I could remain quieted with Christ, in a circle of His unexplainable peace?

For the next 40 days, immerse yourself in the peace of Christ by fixing your eyes on wide-open spaces, where His circle of quiet is waiting to envelop you. Learn about Biblical characters and how God gave them peace. Stare at vast skies and meadows. Read encouraging promises of peace. Meditate on God’s promises. Go outside and look up, remembering He offers you a circle of quiet. Practice the way of Jesus, Who saw the world through new lenses. And usher the peace that passes all understanding into your everyday life.
