Rock Your Gig with Leah

Hey, y’all! Leah here from Salted Brew and I’m excited to share some thunks behind my Rock Your Gig set that you can pick up here at the Print & Pray Shop.

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that it took me a long time to understand what “counts” as a spiritual gift. I used to think that I’m not doing anything uber profound so I have nothing to offer or that spiritual gifts were reserved for the best and important leaders. Maybe you’ve thought something similar? Spoiler alert: these thoughts are wrong.

Bible journaling and this community have been HUGE in my growth and understanding in faith so I designed these pieces to encourage YOU and open your eyes to your spiritual gift(s). One piece in particular actually spells out the criteria for a spiritual gift:

1. Empowered by the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:11)

2. Spread for common good & to love others (1 Corinthians 12:7)

3. Used to build up the church (1 Corinthians 14:26)

When I throw off the pressure and comparisons that I put on myself, I see what tools God has given me. AKA: spiritual gifts. I create, design, volunteer, teach, give, serve, and photograph to love others and glorify Him. I am a leader in kid’s church and love on babies. I combine my design skills with faith by creating pieces for y’all. I hope to own a home that’s mistaken for Grand Central Station with a constant flow of visitors. Some days it’s easier to embrace my gig, but every day is a new opportunity. Every day I can say no to insecurity, doubt, and hesitation and say YES to growth, giving, and confidence.

Every spiritual gift gives us a taste of heaven. We are each uniquely equipped to love on others and bring a piece of heaven to earth. How different would things be if we all stepped up to do that?
