I consider myself a grateful child of God. Every wonderful thing in my life is straight from the Lord’s provision! I don’t have any other entity to thank except for Him! But can we ever really thank Him ENOUGH? I feel like many of my Bible pages center around personal or intercessory prayer. I often reach out to the Lord & ask Him for guidance or delivery in the pages, which is good too! But there’s something to be said for seeing a list of blessings all in one place. That’s exactly what the Mark Maker devotional led me to this week!
One of the lessons in the devo asks us to unearth our “Amen Marks:” the instances in our life that have made us want to shout “AMEN!” These might be answered prayers or experiences that left a lasting mark of gratitude & awe on your life. Making a list of these marks & actually writing them down in the margin of my Bible built before me a sort of structure; a testament to His goodness & faithfulness in my life! Consequently, seeing them in one big chunk like that felt incredibly impactful on its own!
Just like it says in Isaiah 12:4, I wanted to make known what He has done in my life & exalt His name! By sharing our testimony, we instill hope in others & remind the world of His goodness when they might have forgotten! Besides, it’s up to us to be living examples of God’s good work. :)
