Happy Monday, friends! Are you ready to let your nerd flag fly?! Today I’m sharing a bible journaling process video using Brave Little Taylor’s new Print & Pray set The Living Word. Included in her set is a devotional explaining four lenses with which to read the bible. As usual- it’s SO good!
Reading the bible can be confusing, difficult to understand, seem outdated or even boring. But God has chosen to generously reveal Himself to us and has equipped us through His Spirit to understand His Word. It’s with this confidence that we can approach this inspired library of books contained in one book which all tell the Greatest Story!
I was giddy (no joke!) when I first saw Taylor’s journaling cards that coordinate with her devotional. I personally use the inductive method when studying and enjoyed using this “reading” card which has a spot for each step- observation, interpretation and application. And these journaling cards lend themselves well to layering, making it easy to include #allthenotes :)
Off to the side of my desk I have my NT Revival Camp devotional kit and was inspired by the fun stencil included with the kit. I had printed Taylor’s coordinating patterned paper on sticker paper and cut out different patterns in a wonky triangle shape similar to the stencil. I placed those papers in three places on my bible page, then went over most of them with the stencil and black pen.
I also reached for Taylor’s Draw Near stamp set and stamped the shine bright highlighter and her asterisk doodles. Once all of my layering and journaling were complete I topped off the page with black watercolor paint splatters.
I can’t wait to see how you use Taylor’s Living Word devotional printables! If you share be sure to tag Illustrated Faith and #printprayshop so we can see!
