Happy Monday! Today I get to share a new Print & Pray bible journaling process video with ya! This time I’m using Brianna Showalter’s beautiful set Forgiven & Free. When I think of Brianna’s art I think of gorgeous watercolors, and most of all, breathtaking florals!
When I saw this bird perched on her branch I thought of Matthew 6:26 where Jesus says,
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? (NIV)
Not surprisingly, the margins next to that famous sermon are filled up! But as I thought about that passage I thought of how it reveals God as Provider. From there, I found room alongside Psalm 104:10-12.
He makes springs pour water into the ravines;
it flows between the mountains.
They give water to all the beasts of the field;
the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
The birds of the sky nest by the waters;
they sing among the branches.
Here we see God as Provider of physical needs. He cares for His creation!! And not only does He meet physical needs, He provided for our greatest need- a Savior. He so personally and graciously provided the way to eternal life with Him.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
He didn’t even spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all! (Romans 8:32) Let’s spend this Monday, which gets a bad rap, praising our loving and generous Provider!
