Last week I wrapped up session four of the Only One You devotional kit (you can watch the process video here) and as I read through the new Beloved Society devotional I was delighted to see that it was, in my opinion, such a great follow up message. In Beth La Fleur’s new Print & Pray Shop release, Girl for the Job, she directs us to 1 Samuel 16:7 where Samuel is to anoint the new king of Israel chosen by God,
“But the LORD said to Samuel, ‘Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.'”
I would encourage you to read Beth’s beautiful devotional about the seemingly unlikely King David and her encouraging words to each one of us who might question our own qualifications and capabilities. Praise be to God- we’re not expected to answer His call in our own strength! Instead He will equip us with every good thing for doing His will (Hebrews 13: 21). You are the gal for the job!
