Are you ready for an adventure?! Today I’ve got a new bible journaling process video for ya using Shawna Clingerman’s new Print & Pray set, Faithful Journey!
When I saw the “discover”card in Shawna’s printable card set, I knew I wanted to create a page using it as part of my title. But discover…what? So today, I want to journey through His word and discover His love. A tall order, since I’m sharing only a ten minute video and we basically have a whole book that tells His beautiful love story. But, I’m up for the challenge!
As I’ve mentioned before, when I use Shawna’s printables, I want to fit as many of her fun pieces as possible on the page. :) And to do that, I chose to create in my Illustrating Bible. With her Faithful Journey cards and ephemera, I made three clusters, two of them tied together with my journaling. I layered about three card stock pieces per cluster and stapled them together. Before gluing each cluster in the margin, I stuck down a strip of striped washi tape as an additional layer.
Once everything was glued down I grabbed the Joy Journey stamp set to stamp some fun art marks around the three clusters- yet another layer! From there I used highlighter washi tape to outline my verse, Ephesians 3:17b-19a.
…And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge…
I used the spare (as in I ripped off more than I needed) pink highlighter washi to create another addition to the margin and added some crosses with a big brush pen. Add journaling, a date stamp, wordfetti and that’s how this fun and colorful page was born! A creative way to capture a snapshot of His love which is great (Eph. 2:4), steadfast (Ps. 86:15), unchanging (Mal. 3:6), abundant (Ps. 86:5), beyond understanding (Eph. 3:19), and compels us to love one another (2 Cor. 5:14).
I want to encourage you to make time this week to discover something about Him in His rich and generous word.
