Friends, we are one week into Gratitude Documented 2019! Can you believe it? I love this fall season but it does always fly by. I love how this daily project is really intentional. It helps us to slow down and take it one day at a time. Each day we can focus on a new thing that we are thankful for.
Today is the ultimate, though. Salvation. Oh, how thankful I am for salvation. I don’t know if I will ever have enough words to express my gratitude for what God did to change my life.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. –John 3:16 (ESV)
God saved us; delivered us. How? By giving us his Son. That’s a pretty huge gift. But it was exactly what was needed in order to truly save our lives; our hearts; our souls.
Thank you, Lord. Thank you for saving me; for giving me such an epic gift. A gift of grace, of love, of a second chance.
As I was journaling through this, I knew I wanted to use Elaine’s sweet set “Soul for Fellowship.” Everything about this set gives me vibes of warmth and gathering together. And this precious “give” flashcard says, “Give grace, love, & second helpings.” If that doesn’t define salvation, I’m not sure what does.
Through salvation, God gives us grace, love and second helpings of all of it. Over and over. Salvation has changed my life. Saved me from anxiety, depression, the need to do it all on my own. It has given me the chance for a fresh new life–in Him, through Him, with Him.
Thank you for your beautiful gift of salvation–fellowship with YOU.
