I love creating things with pretty paper. It’s one of the things I do to relax. Scrapbooks, cards, pocket page albums, you name it. If I can make it with paper then I’m going to give it a go. But in a hectic day (which lets face it, is every day!) my time to create is often limited to little 10 minute stints here and there which can make tackling large projects a bit daunting. So lately I’ve taken to making these cute and easy note cards. They’re really simple to put together but still fulfill my hankering for papercraft ;-)
To create these I took the Art Prints paper from the Bella Blvd Whatever is Lovely collection and cut it up into it’s different segments. Each of these formed the base of a different card. They’re already complete just by themselves but with the addition of an extra strip of paper here, and some washi tape there I’ve taken it up another notch. More colour and more texture – that’s what makes me happy!
My initial intent with these was to create lunch box notes for my girls. The encouraging messages and verses of Scripture is just the reminder they need, and I’ll write a little extra note on the back. But they could just as easily be used as a bookmark in your bible. Or whack them on a card base and you’ve got a bright cheerful greeting card. Perhaps they could also be used as a gift tag, or a present topper? Ok with all these ideas now whirring through my head I might go and make some more!
