Hi friends! Who has had a chance to dive into the Confetti devotional? I knew right away I just wanted to put confetti all over my Bible. It reminded me of my round Gelli Plate so I thought I would show a few ways to use a Gelli Plate in your Bible if you have one. The small ones I really like to use as large stamps and I’m going to just show you the most basic way to use your Gelli Plate.
STEP ONE:
grab your supplies – assorted acrylic paints, a brayer, and your Gelli plate… also, grab that stamp set for later. You’ll also want your Bible mat to protect your other Bible pages. I’m also using palette paper to contain the mess.
STEP TWO:
dab a good sized amount of paint onto the Gelli plate and then roll it around with the brayer to cover it with paint.
STEP THREE:
stamp it onto your Bible page and peel/lift off… it will be imperfect. That’s what you want. You’ll see that it even left some of the pink paint left over from the last time I used my Gelli plate.
To clean off the plate and brayer, I just rolled and stamped onto a piece of printer paper… we’re going to keep this and next time I’ll share how we can use it for my next tutorial.
That’s it… now we’re going to repeat the same steps, but we’re going to have a little more fun with the stamps included in the stamp set.
STEP 2.5:
now that we cover the Gelli plate with paint, we’re going to remove some of the paint by stamping on top of it.
isn’t that so much fun?!?? I can’t wait to stamp it down in the margin to see what happens!!!
I also stamped off the paint on my stamp in the top of the page where I was going to put my tab… but how fun would it be to stamp with paint all over the page! Next time!
Don’t forget to clean off your plate and brayer for the next color…
I’m all about everything in threes… so I had to do another color!
How fun is that one circle that picked up some of the leftover dark coral color?!
Oh… we’re going to have so much fun with this piece of paper next month!!!
Then, my page is not complete without adding some fun stickers, paper pieces, a tab, a date, and some journaling!
