Hello sweet friends! Andrea here to share an important truth with you! Let’s chat!
There is a quote that has been saved in my box of memory keeping stuff for close to a year. It’s been sorted and passed over and promised a time to shine in my personal album – but many newer and more exciting quotes and photos continued to pile on top of it and it became buried. Until last weekend.
But first, let’s rewind: I sat down on a gorgeous Saturday morning to work on projects and I pulled out two recent collections from the Print & Pray shop – Light Messenger by Elaine Davis and I Know This Much is True by Shawna Clingerman. The colors were so bright and colorful that I couldn’t resist playing with them.
What I love to do is reach deep into what the supplies say. They aren’t just words, they have power & meaning, full of God’s word. I start by reading all of the scripture references and listen until God stops me and says “Yep, this is the one you’re going to tackle.” Sometimes the topics aren’t easy. Sometimes, like this day, they are magical.
With all the talk of being a messenger for God and shining our lights I rifled through my box of quotes and found my inspiration in that quote I mentioned before. It hadn’t had it’s chance to shine and today it was no longer hidden away! It was the right quote at the right time. And even though sometimes we are not always ready to shine ourselves – GOd always knows when it’s your turn. These words rang so true for me and I hope they do for you too.
You are the right girl in the right place at the right time. You are.
You are the right girl for that job. For that team. For that child. For the world. You are. You are the right girl to be the light for whatever situation you’re in. I truly believe God puts us where we can be that light, even if it looks too dark to see. And this is where faith happens!
In this series – Memory Keeping: Faith Edition – It’s all about making sure our faith stories are told so let’s talk about how this page in my Traveler’s Notebook came alive using the Print & Pray Shop collections.
If you saw Elaine’s little video tutorial on using baby wipes to spread around paint then you may have had a giant AH-HA moment like I did. With the feel of the products, I really wanted to play with some background colors and thought I’d give the baby wipe trick a try. But I used ink pads instead of paint and LOVED the results. But of course, I had to do a little test first before it went in my page. I’m so shy about paint and messiness!
I chose wordfetti statements in 4 colors – statements that I wanted to make sure I was acting on in my everyday life – and then chose stamp pads in matching colors. I swiped a good index finger swoosh of each color. Then I added the words with a little foam tape. I really enjoyed how it looked with the same colors together so I ran with that and added a matching puffy shape next to each color.
More fun embellishments to add to the reminders to myself.
So with a mix of paper, stickers and inks – I created a reminder for myself. A reminder that where I am is the right place & I am the right girl – even when I question myself and ask him to put me somewhere else. He has given me a jar of stars to light my way and shine so others can see Him.
So just remember that you can shine the light and you can carry the message of God. You can.
Until next time, friends!

Thank you so much for sharing your page and your heart thoughts behind it. In the same way that that verse reached out to you, the moment I read it, I felt it speak to my heart too!
