Raise your hand if you have a crew. A crew who prays for you and whom you pray for. A crew who loves and accepts your quirks, struggles and love language. If you could see me right now I’d be standing tall with my hand raised as high as my short stature could reach!
These girls here have been a staple in my life for a couple years and these friendships were built steadily over time through screens and social media. But thankfully at the end of May we all finally got to spend some serious time together! I’m documenting our days together in a pocket style album and this photo was screaming to be scrapped.
When I look at our smiles and recall our interactions and love for each other, I think about Proverbs 15:13:
A glad heart makes a cheerful face.
Isn’t it amazing how just a little gladness in your heart can spill out of us so brightly? I love that God gives us so many blessings that make our hearts glad! And during this particular weekend, I was reaching far and wide to find some blessings to hold on to upon my return home. If you have followed me on Instagram, you’ll know about my house situation and I was raw and overwhelmed with emotion and worry. And as He does, God timed this weekend so perfectly and knew that these 5 women would share their hearts and fill up mine in the process.
The Audrey Hepburn quote card is from my stash but I just felt like this photo is all about holding onto one another and it was a perfect representation. It’s something special that I hope each of you get to experience. That feeling of someone standing next to you so you don’t lose your way. Those people who remind you whose you are. These girls fixed my eyes where they needed to be and made my heart so glad that my face just couldn’t help but be cheerful!
Here’s to friendships and smiling and finding blessings even when things seem impossible. Thanks for hanging with me, friends!
Until next time,
Andrea
