We’re a very festive household. We REALLY get into the Christmas Spirit. Like reeeaaallllyyyyy. :) I love having our Christmas tree up because it fills me with this sense of coziness & warmth that you can’t get any other time of year! My favorite thing is putting on an oversize cable knit cardigan & fuzzy socks, making a mug of cocoa & cuddling up on the couch with a movie or working on an embroidery project. COZY! There’s something about the light of the Christmas Tree that just exudes Christ’s love & makes you feel so near to Him.
The real light that exudes love is Christ Himself. There are so many passages that talk about Him being our Light of the World, but I really love John 1:9-18. Go read it. Proclaiming that Jesus is the True Light & those who follow that light & believe in His name are given the right to become children of God. A page like this needs something bright. Something that reminds me of warmth & coziness– like it’s inside a Christmas Tree shining out for all to see. :)
I found this image on Pinterest designed by Charlotte Trounce for Wrap Magazine & felt instantly inspired!
So I did a creative spin on this design in my Bible using Shawna Clingerman’s Love’s Pure Light digital set & the Illustrated Faith Advent collection stamp set by Bella Blvd. It turned out soooooo cute! I love gaining inspiration from all sorts of sources & creating something completely unique to represent how blessed I feel by His light & love!
I used the little evergreen sprig stamp from the Advent collection stamp set to stamp all over the margin along with a circle stamp I had on hand in different colors. Then I added in Shawna’s vintage-inspired baubles from her digital set. I topped off my margin Christmas tree with some bits & bobs from the Illustrated Faith & Bella Blvd Basics lines & the Christmas star stamp in black.
This page really embodies my feelings on the Christmas Season without ever writing a word. I don’t often include pages with no personal journaling, but I didn’t feel this page needed it. It’s hard to use a sentence to completely encompass a feeling you hold in your heart, but God knows. So get creative. Use your printables & other supplies to really convey a feeling, not just a literal image put on a page. Create something merry & bright, just like Him. :)
