How many of you have a “faith planner”? This is where I keep sermon and Bible study notes, as well as prayer requests and any other notes. I’m in love with the planner trend right now and I knew I wanted to combine my planner addiction with my faith.
I use a medium kikki.K planner which is equivalent to the “personal sized” planners. I chose this size over the A5 planners because it fits so nicely in my purse and nightstand and I like to carry it around with me. Sermon notes generally need more than one page of notes, but I’m ok with that because I like having it all together with my other notes and prayer requests which don’t need as much room.
So, let’s take a look at how I have it set up.
In the pockets, I have washi tape on a Bella Blvd Invisibles™ that I cut down to 3″x4″ and wrapped washi tape around. I also have journal cards from the cut apart sheets stuck in the pockets, enamel shape stickers and some sticker sheets.
I like to include additional paperclips in my pockets and I used stickers from the Whatever Is Lovely Collection and adhered them back to back on a paper clip then added the word stickers from the Genesis Collection to finish them off… this is such a fun way to decorate your planner or even use in your Bible to mark a page.
Now we’re on to our dashboard. I love to use the Clear Cuts for my dashboard. They are great for attaching sticky notes to. I made this one a little wider than normal because I didn’t want to cut off the verse. I also punched a card to go behind the verse to make it legible and pop out from the super cute divider I have behind it.
To make the dividers I cut down papers to 3.75″ x 6.75″ and adhered two together using a glue stick. I made three dividers, so I cut down six papers. This gives the divider a little more weight and stability. Once dry, I punched them and was able to decorate them. That’s my favorite part. I make sure to add a tab and label them each for each section.
At the end, I have another Invisibles™ cut down to the same size as the dividers. I do this to protect the paper inserts from getting wrinkled and marked up from the back notepad.
For the notepad, I like to decorate the front, so I cut it the same width of the notepad and a little longer so that I can fold it over and glue to the cardboard backing. Then I decorate the front of it with stickers. I generally leave a lot of blank space on the front so that I can paperclip cute journal cards or quotes I like or want to see when I’m looking at my planner.
Of course, I add my favorite pen to the pen loop.
I like to change out my dashboard and dividers often. It always makes me happy when I open my planner to have scripture right there to meditate on and inspire me as I’m taking notes or praying.

Very fun! A few great ideas I’ll be incorporating into my own! I sort of came up with my own about a month ago after watching War Room and love that I can take my “closet” with me wherever I need to be! LOL
The Whatever Is Lovely collection is gorgeous!
What a joy full planner! I love the Clear Cuts and Invisibles!
LOVE this!!
Holy Wow, Heather. This is gorgeous beyond belief! I have a coral Franklin Covey I might have to give a makeover to. I also have a little Filofax Flex that needs some serious love!
Wow! I’ve thought over and over again that I’m never going to get into the planner craze, but seeing this is inspiring me!
This is lovely! I’m collecting ideas for using planners for a class I’ll be teaching at the beginning of January. I really like the idea of having a place for sermon notes & prayer requests. I might even use my planner for this next year. Thanks for the INSPIRATION!
This is beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing your planner with us, Heather. I love the idea of combining faith with the planner addiction :)
