It’s a PARTY!!! Why am I celebrating? Because I’m so blessed & HAPPY about the love I receive from the Lord! This makes every single day a cause for celebration! As excited as we get over material things in this world (don’t worry– I’m absolutely guilty of this too!), are we getting as outwardly excited about the unconditional love of God? Or are we taking this HUGE cause for celebration for granted? This is a WAY bigger deal than anything else you’ve experienced lately, except we, as humans, don’t do a great job of showing our excitement & praise.
Now, I can recall a time last week doing a little happy dance about finding the CUTEST scarf while shopping, but I can’t remember the last time I did a literal HAPPY DANCE for the Lord! *ridiculous!*
Psalm 57 verse 7-9 says:
“My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast! I will sing and make melody! Awake, my glory! Awake, O harp & lyre! I will awake the dawn! I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the people; I will sing praises to you among the nations,” (ESV).
This is not just a casual get together that this scripture calls for– it’s a full out dance party concert with a light show! Are we showing this kind of enthusiasm & thanks to our God for everything He provides!? Are we singing our praise to Him among the nations!? I feel like we could probably step up our party game. Right?
He is reason enough to celebrate!
