My daughter is home for Christmas break and we are working on her bedroom. She very much wanted a rainbow and Jesus painted on her wall. This artist minded Momma could not deny her.
The time with my sweet girl was really very precious. My usually argumentative, growing attitude six year old told me she loved me about 6,127 times during the two hour period. She was excited and thankful. We got to share our love of art and Jesus together. We also got to use some Illustrated Faith stamps in an unconventional way.
I penciled in the mural and we used wall paint to color it in together. Then I gave her the butterfly stamps and let her go to town.
It’s not the best looking work I’ve ever done but my girl is pretty proud. And I believe I planted a seed in my creative girl to express her faith through her art. That makes this Momma excited and thankful!
