Hello hello everyone! On Tuesday I shared a page from my Gratitude Documented project & I’m following up with another one today! Today’s topic for the project is grace. For me, it seems futile to express gratitude for grace because I could never ever in a million years thank Him enough for all the grace I’ve been given. In fact, Ephesians 4:7 tells us just how vast our grace is:
“But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.”
WOOOOOOW! “according to the measure of Christ’s gift!?” Even though we’re taught that Christ gave up His life for us, sometimes I think the implications of that falls on deaf ears. Well let me shout it out for you: CHRIST DIED FOR US SO THAT WE COULD HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE IN HIM AND BE GIVEN NEVER-ENDING GRACE! The Lord just tosses it out freely like candy at a parade. How awesome is that?
Have you ever thought about how YOU react when someone in your life is in need of grace? I know it’s hard for me. I’m not so quick to forgive & giving it freely is certainly something I’ve been working on (& will probably have to work on for some time). We’re all imperfect people & are all works in progress. And most importantly: we are all so undeserving of the grace we receive on a daily basis! Yet God is still good & gives it to us anyway.
We can’t take the unlimited supply of chances we have with God for granted. Acknowledgment & appreciation are essential. We can never pay Him back or return the favor; all we can do is shout our gratitude to him! Praise Him for the world of blessings, chances, & grace we’ve been given time & again!
