Hi friends! Do you ever have a lot on your mind? A lot to say and write and remember? Me too. While going through She Reads Truth Lent study we spent a week in Jonah. Jonah is only two pages in my Bible. Two pages, and we spent a week digging through it. I had a lot of notes! A lot of important things I wanted to document in my Bible, see?
The rest of this post isn’t so much about the content of my pages but the intent and process behind them, I want to encourage you to add more words to your pages! If you’d like to know more about these notes from the book of Jonah please feel free to ask questions or better yet dig into the She Reads Truth Lent study found on their website.
The intention here is to creatively put a good amount of notes down so that I can review and remember what I learned and others can see my thoughts and prayers and what God was teaching me. The question is how? The process I came up with is layers, which adds space. In my example, layer 1 is the Bible pages themselves and layer 2 is a transparent tip in. Some other ideas include layers of paper, plain or pattern, journal cards or even pockets. I wanted to be able to see my notes and know they all go together so I used the transparent wrapper from some alpha stickers. Maybe you want to pour your heart out but you want it a bit more secret, consider writing on the back of something that will need flipped over to read or add a pocket with a note in it. Try playing with spacing, using different fonts and adding alpha stickers or images amidst your notes to increase their visual appeal.
No, this wasn’t a quick page, but it represents a lot of time spent in the word and that is the best part about it to me. I hope this encourages you to add your own creative notes, prayers and thoughts to your pages so that coming generations won’t just know your talent but your heart behind it too. Blessings, Gina

Genius idea!! Will definitely be making my own! Thank you!
transparency tip-in = brilliant!! I love, love, love the idea!! I also <3 the blues in the page, perfect for Jonah!
This is a great idea, I’m struggling this week with finding an image that works with the passage I wanted to journal, but I have been scribbling a lot of notes. I never thought to journal my notes. I have added words, and I’ve just journaled but I haven’t combined the two and I think I will this week!
You ROCK sister!
