It’s a new month, so that means a new devotional kit! Every month when a new devotional kit shows up at my door I get filled with joy and excitement and can’t wait to dive in! This month’s brand new kit – I Am Strong, is no exception.
I jumped in right away to this 14 day devotional kit by Wilna Furstenburg. The first devotion is about the word wait in Hebrew – KAWA, which means “entwining”. To experience KAWA is to become one with our Father’s eyes, to become entangled with the Lord’s thoughts. As, I read through my devotion I highlighted some points from the text that spoke to me. Here are a couple of my takeaways: It’s up to me to take charge of my own perspective and focus on God to experience KAWA and his abundance of Grace in our lives. I also asked God to help me entwine myself in him and have desire to be more like him.
After I filled up the pages in my devotional, I moved the message over to my praise binder. I painted a page in my binder with the same shades of colors that were used in the devotional. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the words “brave, fearless, and strong”. I used the stamps, washi tape and cutouts that came with the kit as well as some other stamps from my collection to complete the page. I intentionally left some pages open after this so that I can continue to journal my thoughts in my binder as I work through the devotional.
