Hello, Illustrated Faith friends! It is such a treat to kick off my week sharing a new bible journaling process video with you! Today I’m journaling with the new devotional kit from DaySpring, Stronger Together. As I flipped through this month’s bible verses and devotional cards there was a resounding, “yes yes yes!” in my heart. This introvert has personally seen the fruit of fellowship! We are, in fact, stronger together.
I chose to start off with the Romans 12:4-5 journaling card which says,
“For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”
Living in community does not come naturally to me. I am much more inclined to keep to myself, insisting that I am “just fine” instead of opening up to others. But when I do push myself past my comfort zone to engage with others and become vulnerable when appropriate, it is so worthwhile. And those “me too!” moments with other women remind me that this is part of God’s best for us.
While journaling this page I was reminded of a favorite Tenth Avenue North Song, “No Man Is an Island”. I personalized the lyric with a few alpha stickers from my stash and jotted down the lyrics in the margin.
No [wo]man is an island
We can be found
No [wo]man is an island
Let your guard down
You don’t have to fight me
I am for you
We’re not meant to live this life alone
We are not meant to live life alone! As Christians we make up the body of Christ and we need alllll the parts. You are valuable and have a purpose- are you in, sister? :)
