Typically this time of year is all about love, and today I want to remind you that whether or not you’ve got a Valentine you do have a Creator who is crazy about you!
I’m journaling in John 1:12 today using Tamara’s beautiful new release Be*Loved, available in the Print & Pray Shop. Included in her set is an adorable “cootie catcher” (remember those things?!) filled with bible verses that you can even use to prompt your journaling for the day! After assembling mine I headed to John’s gospel to read this about Jesus,
“He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God-children not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God. ” John 1:11-13 (NIV)
Tamara reminds us that we belong. Through Christ we are children of the Almighty Creator, the First and the Last. We belong to the One whose hand laid the foundations of the earth, whose right hand spread out the heavens (Isaiah 48:12-13). You, sweet friend, are dear to His heart. When He looks at you He sees His daughter. (!!!)
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1)
So girlfriend, if you don’t feel particularly loved today or this week please look up to the One who counts the stars and calls them by name (Ps. 147:4) and remember that He loves you dearly. More than you could ever imagine!
