One of the most challenging things I face as a Christian is the fact that this world is temporary in comparison to what he has waiting for us in Heaven. I mean, THIS world is really all we know, all we’ve ever really experienced.
This world is where our children are. It’s where we lay our heads at night. This life is one that we’ve worked hard for, fought for and struggled to build.
Isaiah 40:8 talks about how things fade – which is completely true – but how do we keep this from derailing us while trying to navigate the everyday goings-on of life on earth? When we’re wrapped up in training our kids and planning for futures?
Honestly, I have no answers. I was hoping you did! Seriously, I do know that while we are here, we are meant for GREAT THINGS! We are meant to use our gifts and train up new God-fearing people and support each other. The best thing we can do is take the rest of the verse as a commitment and a view of our forever future – the word of God will stand forever. In this, I can always count on.
