Raise your hand if you’re obsessed with the cute little traveler’s notebooks that are all the rage right now?
** Raises both hands and jumps up and down **
These little notebooks are some of my very favorite things. I’m usually terrible about “completing” notebooks and journals– I’ll get about halfway in and abandon them for a new, shiny notebook. Not true with these cute notebooks– they are small enough that I can fill them easily and quickly– and then move on to a new, cute notebook!
One of the things that I’m learning about filling these notebooks– the Illustrated Faith notebooks in particular– is that the more notebooks I fill with prompts about my journey with God– and creating art about that journey– the closer I feel to God. Shocking, right? The more time I spend talking to God, the closer I feel to Him!
What I love doing is “pre-decorating” my notebooks. That way, it’s easier to “grab and go” with a cute little notebook so I can journal when I have a quick moment alone. I can be creative when I have the time, and I can be thoughtful and reflective (and still have cute pages!) when I have the thoughts.
“Pre-decorating” is exactly what I did with the new Adventure notebook that’s in the Print and Pray shop. I used the matching God’s Directions kit from last week to decorate some of the pages before I journaled my thoughts on them.
I used this particular notebook to journal my next “adventure” of maternity leave and full-time artist and mamahood. It’s a journey that I know I’m going to need to lean on God for a lot, since it’s a LOT of changes coming at once. Great changes, scary changes, overwhelming changes. But it’s going to be and adventure, so I thought I would use an adventure kit!

I do have a question, where did you get the long armed stapler?

I’m getting this to use with my son and my daughters in the mornings as we have been doing Bible journaling together! So glad I found this. This is good for boys as well! :D Thank you!
