Do you ever feel like a song just perfectly describes your life at the moment? I’ve had a song that’s become my life song that perfectly describes my life and desire. I decided I needed to document the lyrics in my Praise Book to go back to when I’m feeling a little overwhelmed and needing to focus on the true purpose of life… and slow down and center my life and heart on Christ again.
Ironically, I’ve been super busy lately, so I wanted something really quick and easy to do. I cut out a 6″x8″ piece of scrapbook paper and then cut down some more scrapbook paper to create a pocket. I then used another sheet of scrapbook paper as lined paper to write out the lyrics. I’m not a huge fan of my handwriting and I wanted to add a little bit of “me” to it by using watercolors to add some color to it, and then added some washi tape, alphabet stickers and stamping to finish it up. I then fold it up and stuck it in the pocket to pull out whenever I need the reminder to “JUST BREATHE, rest at the feet of God, to fill my lungs with the peace of God, and to lay down what’s good to find what’s best”.
