I love when worlds and resources collide! 2016 has loomed overhead for a little over three weeks, and my soul needs refreshment and truth from the Lord DAILY.  I fell head over heels for the “Make it Count” devotional and stamps, knowing that I truly want to make the upcoming year count in more ways than one.

A reoccurring theme lately has been perseverance in the waiting seasons. And y’all, it is TOUGH. We want desperately (or should I say that I want desperately) to get to the next thing, then once I’m there I look at the next next thing. The cycle is endless and exhausting. Waiting seasons are not always fun or short, and they can be easy to take for granted. However, I want to persevere in a way that gives the glory to God, and the waiting seasons have provided many moments that REQUIRE daily dependence on him.

Where are you waiting? What are you waiting for? What does this season in your life look like? Mine is waiting for graduation. For job openings. For a move. Waiting for clarity from the Lord on where to go, what to do, and when to do it. Even though these questions remain unanswered (at this time), He remains faithful.

In the Old Testament, Daniel and three of his friends (you may recognize them as Shadrach, Mechach, and Abednego), were taken from their families to serve the king. Even when in a frightening situation, they still chose to seek and honor God, and He equipped them for their task, giving them favor and knowledge. Perseverance in the wait was not easy, but they pressed on. They made it count.

Wherever we are, whatever our unknowns may be, He is worthy of our attention and attuning our heart to His words and will, even in the foggiest of times.
