Happy Monday, friend! Are you ready to start off the week with a wonderful reminder of Whose you are in Christ?! In today’s process video I’m using the Print & Pray digital set Girl of God from Make Wells. I wanted to use so many of these beautiful large elements and I had a bit more to journal so a two page spread in 1 John 3 it is!
“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”
To me, the concept of being a child of God is mind blowing simply because of who God is. He is the infinite Creator of all things. He has no needs but supplies all of ours. He is fully present in the past, present and the future- in all places all at the same time. My mind can’t even wrap itself around that. He literally is incomprehensible! Every time I think on this I echo what David wrote in Psalm 8, what is man that you are mindful of us?
Yet in our sin He still loved us and very personally made a way to atone for our sins once and for all through Christ. Insert all the praise hands here. Talk about a 180! In Christ we have gone from enemy rebel to child.
Unfortunately a lot of us haven’t had a good parent-child relationship modeled for us. But God is the perfect spiritual parent. He loves us, provides for us, protects us and disciplines us for our benefit. We find belonging as part of His family and have been promised a forever home.
If you find yourself starting the week off on the wrong foot, lies swirling in your ears remember Who you belong to. To read more or just have extra places to use this beautiful release head to John 1:12, Romans 8:14-17 and Ephesians 2:4-5.
