One of my favourite products from the Genesis Kit is the wide washi tape. It’s filled with lots of different designs which work well as stand-alone Bible journaling pieces. Seriously, you can stick one of these down on your page and not do a single thing more and it would look fabulous. Alternatively you could use one as a jumping off point for the rest of your entry. That’s what I did for this entry in Isaiah 25.
“I know the plans I have for you” is actually from Jeremiah 29:11, but I’ve already done an entry there (it’s a bit of a favourite verse!) so I went on a search for other places in the Bible that mention God’s plans for me. Isaiah 25:1 says “O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you. I will praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure.” What an awesome thought it is to know that right from the beginning of time God knew what he had destined for me in this moment now, and what is to come. I really don’t need to be anxious about what the future holds if I trust in the Lord who makes plans to “prosper us and not to harm us”.
So while I continue on with my job hunting that I mentioned in my last post, I also continue to trust. I chose to shift the perspective from “what do I want?” to “what does God have in store for me?” and that fills me with joy, peace and anticipation rather than anxiety. Hallelujah!

I love the verses you highlighted and how you tied them together.
Can I ask… did you use a highlighter or watercolour paint to highlight the verse?
Hi Angela!
Most of the time I use watercolour to highlight my verses, so I can coordinate it with the rest of the page. This time though I used my Pitt Artist Big Brush marker (sorry, I forgot to mention that in my supply list!) The colour is ‘dark chrome yellow’.

Good job on this! Wish i can also create one that is as nice as yours!
That’s what I find great about these supplies – I can stick them down on a page and they look fabulous all by themselves. I don’t need to get too much more creative than that!
