Hello friends!! In my product storage post, you may have seen a peek of the bible entry that I’d like to share with you today. This is one of my favourite entries that I’ve done so far, for the simple fact that it reflects on what I believe is one of the most fundamental aspects of our faith. Ephesians 3: 17b-19 reads: “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
When times are tough, it’s sometimes difficult to feel that love. Sometimes we become so blind-sighted by our pain, grief, hurt and sadness that we come to feel God has somehow turned our back on us. And that’s ok…it is a completely normal reaction. I, myself, have felt that countless times. But through His word, I am learning that it is not true. God has never and will never turn His back on me. He loves me too much for that. And I want to tell you today that the same is true for you. You are loved by the Creator of the universe in a way that nobody else could ever love you because He is the One who made you.
I’ve been listening to some sermons online recently and one by Rick Warren stood out particularly for me in the way in which it explained God’s love for us. He said that God created us for His pleasure. That is to say, we were brought into existence for the soul purpose of being loved by the One who made us.
Because of that, there’s never a day that goes by when God doesn’t love you completely. There is nothing you can do or say or think that will ever change that. As Romans 8:38-39 says, “…neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Even when mankind’s own sin threatened to ruin our relationship with the Father, He put into motion His perfect rescue plan that he had decided on since before the beginning of time…sending His son Jesus to die for us so that we may continue to receive that love unconditionally for all eternity.
