Moriah and I have been enjoying the 100 Days of Grace and Gratitude this month. I love that my daughter is daily reading scripture and journaling. The homeschool mama in me is loving that she’s practicing her writing with the journaling as well as spending time meditating on scripture. We pretty much just spend our time journaling and haven’t done much decorating other than stamping the date and some doodling/highlighting. However, this holiday week, I was hoping we would get to do a little bit more. That means sharing my packing list with you all. Since we’ll be traveling again next month, the only thing changing will be adding in the new kit goodies as well as some of the Advent and CHRISTmas collections.
PENS & MARKERS
I can’t leave home without my favorite journaling pens and markers. They are perfect for mark making and especially perfect for journaling on the road. I packed my favorite Illustrated Faith pens as well as Faber Castell Markers to match the kit/book.
STAMPS
Stamping is pretty easy to do on the road too. I packed several stamp pads that matched the kit/book and also grabbed my favorite stamps for the month of November, including the ones from the kit as well as the Elements and Gratitude Documented stamp sets. Don’t forget to pack a stamp block so you can use it. I also grab a flat surface like a hard cover book for stamping in the van rather than using my squishy lap LOL.
I am all about pre-stamping too, especially for the days I’m going to be out of town. I love pre-stamping the date so if I only have time to journal I’m all set. I figure if I can at least journal every day then I can go back and mass decorate later when I have more time. Generallly with homeschooling I reserve Fridays for doing that since our work load is purposely less on Fridays for catching up.
PAINTS
I keep this little tub on my desk full of the paints that match the kit, neocolorsII that match, my favorite white paint which is the Illustrated Faith paints, and a paint card for playing. This makes it easy for traveling especially during the fall when I tend to travel a lot, not just for holidays and want to keep up with projects. I also grab a pack of baby wipes for cleaning up or for Elaine’s fabulous baby wipe technique. This is definitely a not on the road project, but for when I’m at the hotel or parents’ house and have the space to create.
STICKERS
This is my favorite to pack! I grab all the alphas, booklets, and everything I find that matches. Normally, I print out some Print & Pray Shop goodies too to bring too, just didn’t get a chance this week before we left.
MISC.
Lastly, I usually grab some paper for tabs, my Bible mat, all the goodies from the kits, and all my favorite washi tapes that match the kit/book.
How’s everyone doing with 100 Days of Grace & Gratitude? I’ve been loving seeing the photos in the Facebook Pop-Up Group and on Instagram. What do you pack if you’re traveling for the holidays?
